Has anyone taken the KAT exam?

I will be taking the KAT (Kaplan Nursing Admission Test) soon. I would like to know how were the reading and math sections. I purchased the "Kaplan Nursing School Entrance Exam" book.

I took the Kaplan twice because I didn't get a high enough score for my program the first time. The reading was really easy (just refer back to the paragraph to answer a question) I got a 92%. Though math was what I struggled on, the basic math was very easy as they ask division, multplication, subtraction, order of operations, fractions, decimels, etc. But the dosage calculation was really hard and a couple problems required you to know more than the basic formula of order/ have and you obviously had to use some critical thinking skills to figure it out. I scored a 79% on the math portion for my second try and a 71-73% for my first.

Thank You! Were the word problems difficult? Also were there conversion questions that you had to know beforehand (formula, units, etc.)?

I actually didn't remember any conversation units because they asked a couple basic conversation of pounds to like kg. And the word problems wasn't difficult to me, just the dosage calculation so I say get enough practice with that.

Did you have to remember how many pounds were in a kilo, or did they provide that information for You? And other than the dosage question, was the rest of the math portion quite easy?
