Has anyone taken Edukan Microbiology course?

Has anyone taken Edukan Microbiology 280? Or know anything about taking it as an out of district student?

My question is about the Cooperating lab and lab instructor requirement. I found an old post where someone mentioned taking the course and doing the lab from a distance BUT that person mentioned that they knew someone who worked at suitable lab site, so they had no difficulty gaining permission.

I work at a hospital (medical lab in a hospital is considered acceptable) and am still affiliated with the university that I graduated from so I could ask someone in the bio dept. there if they could help me.

So...has anyone been successful in getting permission to use a local lab and having someone from the lab volunteer to be an instructor for the 2 labs? And from what I understand, this instructor has to make contact with the micro. prof. and verify their credentials. This seems to be asking a lot from someone you don't know don't ya think?

I was hoping to take micro through edukan because it's only $625.00, whereas the micro course through ccconline is $901.60 plus the lab pak which is $240.00. That's a $516.60 difference!

I'm going to email the edukan micro professor and ask him more about how others have managed this situation. But in the meantime if ANYONE has any info. please post.
