Hello, I am gearing up to apply for DNP-CRNA programs and I am curious if anyone has gotten accepted into Rush or Emory with a lower GRE score? It seems like most forums say the admissions panels will look at how well rounded a individual is and not necessarily specific scores, but I am unsure if my scores stack up for these ultra competitive programs.
At this point, I would really like to focus on writing my application essays, help revamp the mentor program on my unit to increase its structure and sustainability, write a research paper (it’s been a long time since I’ve done anything academic, and I want to see if I can write a decent paper before committing to grad school), and get PALS.
My GRE scores are: Verbal 156, Quantitative 148, Writing 4.5
Other stats: BSN with honors (did a research project a long time ago), CCRN, cumulative GPA 3.9, 6 years experience in ICU, currently MCICU 4 years at moderate sized 400 bed teaching hospital/Level I, charge RN, ECMO team, international volunteer work, work committees, preceptor and mentor. TNCC, NIHSS, BLS, ACLS. No current PALS.
Any stats and advice from current/past SRNAs at Rush and Emory would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.
