Nurses General Nursing

I'm really struggling with what I should do. I'm starting my prereqs this summer for the ADN, but really want and need to be working asap. I've read so much here about working as a CNA while you are going through school, but I'm so worried about burnout. I know it would be great experience for me, but don't want to already be burned out before I become an RN!:chuckle
Those of you that worked as CNA's first, did you find a difference in working LTC versus hospital or clinic setting? What about pay? Do some facilities pay better than others? Are you treated differently (better or worse) if they know you are going through school to become an RN?
Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated!:)
