I'm looking for information on Harbor Hospital in Baltimore. Has anyone ever worked there, known anyone that has? I've been looking on their website and they have quite a few RN positions available, but no information on benefits, tuition reimbursement, anything like that.

I'd *love* to talk to anyone who has worked there or even done clinical rotations there. Thanks!

Hi! I work there...not much in the last year as I've been in school, but PRN for 5-7 years. I can't give you much info on benefits and such, I'd call the nurse recruiter or email her. I like it there. Especially after doing clinicals at a few other places in the area!!! If I had to describe it in two words, I'd say "community hospital". We don't do the fast paced, cutting edge stuff that Johns Hopkins or University does, but I'll trade that for the "small town" feeling any day.

Payrates are pretty competitive, and I've never heard anyone complain about the benefits, but like I've said, email the nurse recruiter. Sometimes, I think there are too many choices in Baltimore!! Good luck, and email me if you have any questions.

Where do you work there, if you don't mind my asking? I wanted an "insider's" view of Harbor before I called the nurse recruiter (I swear, sometimes they're worse than realtors), so that I don't waste anyone's time. I work downtown now, and Harbor would be less of a commute for me.

I work on the telemetry unit and have done some time in Infection Control. Harbor's not everyone's cup of tea. I like it because for the most part everyone's friendly, it's nice when someone from another department says, "where you been?"

you can email me at [email protected] and I can answer more of your questions....this is a little too public with my name on it!!

Thanks,

Teresa
