To all the CRNAs and SRNAs, are you happy with where you chose to attend school? If not, why and what would you want to be changed?
If you want to mention what school you attend/attended I would appreciate it, if not no worries.
Thanks!

As my "handle" implies, I chose and am attending TCU. I am 100% satisfied with the program. I was accepted into another program "across town" at the same time as I was this one and chose this one for several reasons. I feel the upbeat and positive atmosphere is the result of careful planning and decision making and I for one desire that type of program. There are some excellent professors here, the Director has networking resources that span the entire country, the school itself has an excellent reputation and has vast resources available to all its students.
I think that different programs work for different personality types so therefore the decision on which program to attend should not be taken lightly. I would recommend this program to anyone considering Nurse anesthesia as a career. Interview with as many schools as you can and then make your decision. The interview process really confirmed my preliminary research about the various CRNA programs and should do the same for most individuals.

U Akron. No place is perfect, but this is the only program that I am aware of that attempts to make it convenient for the student. They understand that people have families and lives. Don't get me wrong, it is still butt kickin' anesthesia school, but it is done with as little pain as possible.

I'm a senior at St. Elizabeth School of Anesthesia in Youngstown, and I'm 100% satisfied with the program! Great clinical exposure with lots of different and challenging surgical cases!

I am also a TCU student and am very happy with the school that I have chosen. I feel supported by my faculty, administrative staff and peers. We as students are not competing with eachother so everyone tries really hard to help eachother out. I feel as if I am receiving a top notch education. The dean is very supportive of our program and is getting lots of folks to put money into the program. It appears that we are the stars of the nursing program and what ever the nurse anesthesia students want we get. I also interviewed with a program around town and it does have a very long-standing reputation for producing great anesthetists. If you look closely at the history, the folks (most of them) that made that program what it is are now at TCU. Anyway, if you visit both programs you will see that their is no comparison.
Needless to say I am very happy with my decision. This is by far the toughest thing I have had to do academically, but I am glad that I am going through it in the environment that I am in.
