Any info. about these BSN programs? I understand the Hallmark BSN program is new as of 2018. I will complete all of my pre-req's next semester. I have added a couple of classes to make sure that I am able to get into both of these, and most BSN programs, aside from UT as they require Texas core curriculum. I am not as young as some, and don't want to put in the additional time of completing those courses. I recently spent time in a hospital with my dad, with Galen student nurses, and Baptist Health student nurses. Galen's SN's seemed very happy. I am very interested in the Hallmark program because there are some prereq's at Galen that you can't take elsewhere, and I would prefer to not have to spend time or money on those. I believe that Hallmark does clinicals at Methodist hospital, and am wondering if anyone has any experience with getting hired by Methodist after doing clinicals. I have heard from Galen people that they get hired fairly easily, only one person told me that she was having trouble getting a certain type of nursing job because she has a bachelor's degree from Galen.

I am just only starting Galen's BSN program next year, and I wonder why that person had trouble finding a particular nursing job because of her BSN from Galen
I got the info from her sister, but I think that it was probably a med surg position, and maybe she hadn't trained in that particular job enough. It didn't totally make sense, and I wish the info had been clearer, because of course it made me worry. Congrats on your starting the BSN program next year! I am going to take one more semester at the community college to complete the prerequisites to save $ before I apply for the BSN program. Please, let me know if you have any more info about the program.
