Had interview, took NET- NERVOUS!!

I took the NET on Monday and had my interview on Tuesday. My math scores were excellent, my reading scores were above average but could have been better. My grades are great, but I am so nervous about how the interveiw went. All the way home I was thinking of what I should have said or what I should have added. There is a meeting of the admissions board later this month and I was told that I would hear something 7 to 10 days after the meeting. WISH ME LUCK!! It is the only school to which I applied because they have the only all evening program in this area- plus they have a good rep.

I have also taken my NET exam and have been called back for a personal interview by the "board members" before being accepted or denied entrance for the Fall LPN program. Can you please give me some information on what type questions were asked at your interview and if I can do anything to prepare for it! THANKS

Good luck!!! I am so thankful I don't have to interview for my school. With age and experience I interview better than before but it's still a nerve racking thing. I too always questioned myself after and thought of things I should have said.

There were probably 10 or so questions. These are the ones that I remember.........

Why do you want to be a nurse?

What was your favorite subject in school?

How do you think that you can improve yourself?

What area of nursing are you interested in?

What is a nurse?

Give me some examples of positions that you have held in which you were in charge of others.

I'm sure that there were a few others but thhose are the ones that I can remember................. hope it helps!
