I'm enrolled at Gurnick in San Mateo. Just completed the program recently and going through NCLEX/ HESI preparation with them. In general I’m happy with their program.
Advantages:
Flexible Evening Schedule
Knowledgeable instructors
They concentrate of HESI from the beginning to make sure we pass the exit exam
Starting from our group, they included intensive NCLEX preparation course free of charge (I think it was nice of them)
Financial Aid (They just received it – it was not available when I started)
Simulation Lab (unfortunately they just updated it, we didn’t get to use it L …. But I saw what those mannequins can doJ )
Disadvantages:
I think more clinicals in acute care settings would be very beneficial
I think they need to change one instructor J
If you are in Peninsula, I also recommend to visit NCP and Bay Area of Nursing College and see which school fits you better.

I've been looking into Gurnick Academy, and i was wondering if any current students can comment on the program? I've been looking at past discussions, and it seems like majority of the comments were negative. Before I take out thousands in loans I want to know if the program has improved! Thanks everyone!
