And I am starting to get nervous......
Don't know what I want to go into, and everyone asks if I am going on to become an RN. It would be nice to wait awhile, but on the other hand, will I forget the stuff I learned? Most of my class say they are planning to go on.
There was a recruiter from the California prison system in class last week. I asked him about upward mobility for LVN's, and he started talking about how for RN's the sky is the limits. After class I came up to him and asked if he had answered my question and I'd missed it. He told me he didn't want to say anything about the fact that LVN's don't really have any real chances of becoming anything more, just working in the facility at the same job.
I wonder if this is the same everywhere. I have heard of a couple of LVN's who have become charge nurses, but nothing else...
Anyone out there that is satified where you are going when you graduate, or are you planning to go on with more schooling?
