I am a University of California, Los Angeles School of Nursing 4th year BS student currently on winter break until January 4th. Graduating June 11 and hopefully taking the NCLEX July-August 2016. My professors have recommended starting to study for the NCLEX now.
Currently, we have subscriptions to Kaplan NCLEX prep that we can take focused review tests and we use to take integrated tests for our classes. We have a review book that outlines each content area that goes with Kaplan. In addition, I own a Saunders comprehensive review book, an alternate question review book, and do questions of the day on an iPhone app.
How should I plan to review stating in January so that I am well-prepared for our Kaplan 3-day bootcamp after graduation?
I'm thinking 1 hour 3-4 times a week and 1 Kaplan focused review test with mixed content twice a week would be good. That way I can review rationales as a I go and also study content I am rusty on. Advice?
