What's holding you back from getting an advanced practice degree in psychiatric nursing?

I am a research assistant at Catholic University of America School of Nursing. We are conducting research assessing the barriers to pursuing graduate education so that we can better tailor our programs to the needs of students. This includes online/distance learning, which is why it may be applicable outside the metro DC area. By clicking on the link and filling out the survey, we can acquire valuable data as to the needs of potential advanced practice psychiatric nurses. Thanks!

Catholic U. is one I'm considering. But driving distance and having to attend clinicals, or even online classes when you have to be there at a particular time each week are barriers.

I work 5 days a week. 7-3:30, but by the time I get home it's almost 5. The traffic is horrible in mornings too. I have a family to look after as well. The time I have to myself or for studying is limited, and varied, so I never know when I'm going to be home and just can't commit to being in a classroom.

When you look at your barriers to grad school, what are you thinking would help? That would be helpful to know as we update our programs. Thanks.
