Grading System

Hello all! Does anyone know where to start when you want more information about the grading system in nursing school? My question is more geared towards my nursing program counting ONLY exams for a theory grade. We do a lot of extra work, but it is not added towards our point system. Is this normal practice?? It's very frustrating when you are not a good test taker.
