Hi everyone!
Just as a quick preface to this post -- had a HESI final worth 25% that went really badly today, so I'm feeling a bit(lot) discouraged and disappointed.
(You know that feeling when you're sitting pretty in the mid-90s for the whole course and then the final goes so badly it pulls your overall grade down to a B+? Yeah.)
I have a quick question about general MSN/DNP program requirements... I'm one semester away from graduating my ABSN program. Right now, my GPA is just about a 3.3, with the potential to pull it up to around 3.5 (well, 3.48 -- we can round, right? ;P) by the end of the program.
I have solid clinical references (and hopefully one from my preceptor at the end of next semester too) and am active on campus, and also have a letter or recommendation from the faculty member I work with peer teaching in the sim lab.
I genuinely am motivated and want to advance my education, but I guess it's the GPA piece that has me a bit worried. I can deal with not being in the top 30% of my cohort, I can deal with not having straight As... but I really hope I haven't screwed myself over for being below 3.5... what do you all think..?
