Hey,
I graduated in December 2010...passed NCLEX January 2011. Applied for tons of jobs since then. Finally, I got an offer from outpatient endoscopy at the facility where I currently work as an LPN ambulatory injection nurse. I was beginning to wonder if I would ever get an offer. I start the end of April. Any feedback on working in this area?

congrats..how many jobs did you apply before you got this job? i just moved here and i applied for RN jobs but still no luck..
Hey misia84,
Don't get discouraged. I know it's hard not to. Counting all the jobs at my own facility, and the ones at other facilities, I'm guessing I applied for about 75 since December. I even started applying for jobs in surrounding cities, and in places I thought I wouldn't normally want to work. I was getting desperate.
The job I got wasn't my first....or even 3rd... choice, but it's a job. I hope I do well there, and get some RN experience. If I find it's not a good fit, I'll have something to offer other positions.
Good luck!
Yeah I'm getting really discouraged. I applied anything what's available too.I'm happy for you that you finally found a job because you've applied since december and that's a long time.. Good luck i hope you'll like your new job.
It looks like 4-7 months is the average time it's taking new grads to find a job these days. I just talked to another "new hire" at our facility, and she's been looking since last September. Don't loose heart. You'll find something.
