** I posted this in the Student thread as well, but I really want some feedback, I hope I'm not breaking any rules. I'm new here :)**
Hello all,
I am currently pursuing an undergrad degree in Information Systems graduating in December, I have no work experience and recently I've come to realize nursing is what I really want to do. Ever since I was younger I wanted to be a pediatrician and when I first start college I was a nursing major, but changed because of certain situations and just life. Now that I'm back on the path, I've found a program for a Master's Degree in Nursing for people who have a degree in another discipline. I guess my question is, is there any tips or advice anyone can give me on applying to nursing school & once I get in? How is the career for you? How was nursing school?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Why not go to med school and be a pediatrician? Just curious
It'll most likely take longer & cost more money. And idk how that would work seeing as I'll have a bs in business

You could still apply to med school with a BS in Business. You can have any degree you want and apply, as long as you have all the pre-reqs done, required entrance exams done, etc. The other day I actually read an article by a professor at a medical school about how non pre-med and hard science majors usually added a different perspective to the classroom. It still would be longer and more expensive than nursing school, but still an option if that is what you want to do. (:
I'm still pre-Nursing (hoping to start this Spring!), so I can't give you any tips or advice about nursing as a career or nursing school just yet. Good luck!
Yeah that's true, but I've just been looking at different programs here in Maryland and there's a masters entry program at Johns Hopkins I'm very interested in so I might just apply there and see how it goes.
Good luck in the Spring!! Let me know how it goes?
