I'm starting WGU's RN-BSN program on 11/1! I have been thinking about going for my BSN for a while (I've been an RN for 5 years). No time is ever perfect, so I've decided to bite the bullet.
Wish me luck! Three kids, two jobs, and one BSN degree, Oh, my!

Excellent! Two thumbs up. What a wonderful experience to have your kids witness, too. I'm sure they are very proud of you.

I recently completed University of Texas at Arlington's online program. I found it enjoyable and not extremely difficult. Do you have any core classes to complete? I also used Chegg.com to rent books, I always looked at Amazon and other book rentals before making my final purchase. I was surprised I liked gerontology, I just related it to what my parents will soon be going through. If you need any other advice you can PM me.
I don't think they hand out a lot of grant money for a master's degree, but with my status as a single mom, receiving no child support and my sad income--well, it won't cost me too much out of pocket. I just applied for a scholarship too, which may cut my OOP cost even more. Fingers crossed!

Good for you! I'm in grad school right now and the juggle is sometimes really hard but it's great for my kids to see me going after what I want and working hard for it. Good luck!

Check to see if you get reimbursed by the school district for courses. They even let me use my annual PD $$ to go towards a class and at the end of the year, anyone can put in for $$ not used by the district that is slated for courses work.
Some years it is a a great return, others not so much depending on the number of people going to school and looking for tuition reimbursement.
Good for you! Good Luck!!!
