Godd nursing interventions for Delayed surgical recovery...

Published

hey. what are some good nursing interventions for delayed surgical recovery r/t to decreased blood supply to the body. I have initiate blood transfusion as one but i'm not sure if the wording is right of whether i can use it since blood transfusions are ordered by the doctor. Would facilitate and monitor patient for safe blood transfusion be a better way to word the intervention? or does this not work too? i also have teach and intiate use of incentive spirometer every hour during shift. i need one more intervention. my pt had a HGB cout of 7.8 and as a goal i put that his HGB level would be above 8 by the end of the blood transfusion...i don't know how long it takes for a blood transfusion to change the levels of HGB in the body....is this a reasonable goal? I also have no way to tell if the goal was met because test weren't run on his HGB level by the end of clinical that day and it was my last day with him....and i need to include the outcome....is there anyother outcome i can include. this is alot of questions but id greatly apreciate any help. thank you
