i have been out of adult nursing for 15 years. i have done telephone triage for the last 10 years but peds. i am interested in getting into disease management maybe by phone or case management. it appears the best way to go is refresh my adult nursing. I did home health 16 years ago for a couple of year and have 21 years of nursing experience in areas like cardiothoracic stepdown, transplant floors. i need day hours and some flexibility. should i go with my current hospital? i do want to stay more out in my area also. how about agency work. i don't want to be responsible for my taxes either. i wonder how close to hospital pay it is also. any suggestions how hard it will be to be getting back into this. i would need to focus on cardiac and diabetes for a future job. i need to make a transition back into adult nursing.
