She will most likely face termination. Accessing the computer system using someone else's credentials is usually grounds for termination in most facilities. Add to the fact that she used it to commit fraud for CEU's and most likely all parties involved are toast. Hopefully if she is lucky the CEU matter will not be referred to the BON.

It sounds like the OP's daughter is ethically challenged or very susceptible to peer pressure, or both.

I also agree that she's not the only one on that unit with a defective moral compass. All involved should face sanctions imo.

Fired, probably. She is a "good" nurse who doesn't know not to do the right thing? What this looks like is that she is not trustworthy and that is a bad quality to have in a nurse. side note- What is with all the parents asking questions about careers for their adult children? Is it just the helicopter in them that can't let go (doing it without the kid knowing) or are these kids so inept at adulthood that their parents have to help them with everything? I make my elementary age kids fight their own battles and step in as needed (obviously I handle the adult stuff) But, if you want an adult child who doesn't know how to be an adult....

It's likely she will get fired. It would be the same if she had gotten caught taking a test for a classmate in school - automatic termination. The other person will prob. deny asking her to do this so things could get really ugly. Why would anyone do something so stupid as an adult?

Well, you know, that was a really boneheaded thing for her to do. I know that she is your little girl, but your little girl screwed up royally and will likely face some pretty stiff consequences as a result. You aren't going to find any sympathy here.

My first thought. It always kind of rubs me the wrong way when boyfriend, husband, mom, etc., find it necessary to share a situation or problem that is not really theirs to share. It feels patronizing and like a violation of privacy.

I'm more focused on the fact that she took an exam for someone else.

Regardless of whether or not she will be fired for using another person's password, she helped someone essentially cheat.
