hi! i live in south east ga and just graduated from ec. u would get better response if u put this in the ga state area or the distance learn area. i have run into quite a few ga people going this route. yes, u can do this even if u have no pre-req's. cost depends on how many classes u have to take. u can download the nursing catalog and the fees catalog from the ec website. excelsior.edu..good luck to u!

Thanks for your response. I have posted on the Georgia state area. Which state did you take your NCLEX? How long did it take you to complete everything?

i went thru minnesota...they were very quick to process, had online license verification for ga, and i found out i passed the next day. and do fingerprints/backgound checks to bother with. i took some time off btwn nc 1 and 2 but i took nc2 in i think feb or march of 2004 while i was on bedrest from complications with pregnancy and took my cpne in june of 2005, licensed end of sept. if there is any way u can go to a bridge program at a traditional school i would recommend that, this program is difficult for people to motivate themselves and the cpne is a killer. please do not think that this is an easy way out! please pm me for more info or if u need some tips. good luck with your goals!
