Respiratory therapist thinking about being a nurse...

I am currently a respiratory therapist and have been for 4 years. I've worked nicu, icu, ccu, and ER. I recently started to realize many things about respiratory that are making me want to find something else. 1. There's not a whole lot of room for advancement 2. We don't get alot of respect 3. The pay is pretty low and jobs are hard to find. 4. Not a lot of one on one patient care when you have 20-30 patients a day. I work with nurses alot and i know that their jobs are hard and they have alot to do but I also noticed that most of them really like it and the benefits are crazy that they get. I was wondering if all you nurses out there would agree that nursing is a great field to go into. Especially for an experienced RT? Any advice would be great! Thanks!
