I think I am a very auditory learner as well, and I don't spend an incredible amount of time out of class studying. I do what I can, but I have 2 small children as well. For the last 3 semesters, I've been making A's and B's and retaining information well, so my method seems to be working well enough for now.
I study between 30-50 hours a week. That includes reading, studying for tests and any papers or homework we have due. I'm in school for 10 class room hours and 16 clinical hours. I can NOT wait till I'm a nurse and not a nursing student. :)
