If conscious:
-vital signs;
-circumstances around fall (eg. if they tripped over something, became dizzy, body part gave out, etc)
-ask about any pain
-skin assessment
-give prn pain med if needed and if the fall wasn't caused from oversedation
-call MD
-document everything you see and hear
-fill out the booklet of incident reports in quadruplet
I feel I maybe forgot something because you are doing so many things all at once and it's not something you are thinking about when you do it for the umpteenth time
:)
