Ampule problems

My friend is having trouble with her ampule section of the dosage comp 2nd semester. I passed mine and I'm trying to assist her but something seems to be going wrong with her ampule section. Every time she withdraws her med she is always getting air bubbles and because she is adding her ampule med into her syringe with another med, she cannot remove the air by injecting it into air. She did that before and she didn't pass her first round. I never had this prob and I've tried to assist but I don't know why she is getting bubbles and I am not. Any tips??? Thanks everyone. Much love! (Forgive my grammar, IV comp and test earlier today. You all understand. Lol)

Oh and she did switch to filtered while using the ampule.

It may be that when she is going to put the needle into the second ampule she is drawing up the medication with the needle above all of the medication. (Does that make sense?) I would advise her to keep the end of the needle as close to the insertion site as possible. that way when she pulls back it is all medication and not air. Hopefully this helps, that is the only thing I can think of! Just tell her to be conscious of where the bevel of the needle is before drawing back!

Thanks so much. Yes that makes 100% sense. I will relate to her this message.
