Hello Everyone! I was wondering who else out there is/has applied for Wolford class starting Oct 2016? I will be interviewing in a month and wanting to see who else has heard back or is applying!!!

Hey ECMO_RN! I interviewed about a week ago! How did your interview go and have you heard back from them yet?

I have an interview scheduled for May 20th. I am hoping to sneak into this October if there are any spots left, or at least February if not. How did the interviews go for you?? What kind of questions did the ask/any tips?

Hey FutureSRNA! The interview was super chill! The beginning is a group presentation where they talk about the school and what to expect! Then they break out for individual interviews. They are extremely friendly and never put me on edge! I have a colleague going out for the May 20th date as well! I got my acceptance letter like 3 weeks ago and am planning on attending in the fall! I'm sure I'll see you there! Where are you from!?

Thanks for the info! How was the personal interview? Did they ask any clinical questions, have you take a test, etc? I just moved from Utah to Las Vegas, NV in February. If you don't mind me asking what are your stats like? lol I know we always like to compare each other to see where we stand. Where are you from?

Sweet! I'm from Utah as well! Shoot me an email and I'll give you some more info! My email is [email protected]

Awesome! Okay just sent you an email.

Hey, how did your interviews ago? I'm putting in an app (one of the 7 schools I'm working on applying to) for Feb 2017. I was tempted to apply for the Fall, but it seems a bit risky. How many people interviewed with you guys, and did they mention anything about SACS accreditation or the COA visit?? The President's message on the website implies that she is gunning for accreditation. It seems too late to get SACS accreditation prior to the Fall, so I wonder if they're going to request an extension from the COA?

I have to admit, the school is a backup for me. I like the location and cost of this school, and would likely attend if they got regional accreditation. If it had regional accreditation, It would probably be my #2 school. I'm not set or completely gung-ho about this school. I'm just putting in an app since it would be awesome of they got accredited and I got accepted.

Also, how was the interview process?

The interview went really well! It was on a Friday and I got a letter in the mail on Thursday the next week letting me know I was accepted. Everyone there was extremely friendly and it was a low pressure interview. No clinical questions at all for me just asking questions to get to know you and see how committed you are to being a CRNA. There were 10 people in my interview session. 8 men and 2 women. 5 of the 10 were from Utah like me which was surprising.

As as far as accreditation goes one of the people interviewing with us asked them specifically about their regional accreditation status. The COA was originally supposed to visit in October to get it all squared away with them but the COA had to reschedule their visit. It's now supposed to happen sometime in the spring. When we asked them how it would affect us they talked about how long it takes to get regional accreditation. If you've done your research you'll notice that Wolford is a single purpose institutions so they do not have the advantage of having a nursing program such as a BSN program that already required the school to have regional accreditation. He brought this up in the interview and told us specifically that it would in no way effect us getting a job upon graduation.

The naples location is absolutely beautiful. I am very excited to be starting this October. The way the school is acting makes me feel like they have done everything right for getting their accreditation. They are currently updating their entire sim lab with larger screens like they have in the OR, ordering some new recording equipment so that you can replay your scenario and see how you reacted, if you broke sterile procedure, etc. and they are also ordering a new advanced manikin for us to do procedure on. He mentioned that everything would be there ready to go for the October start date. I am excited to be able to use this first! If you have any other questions let me know.
