O.k. beleive it or not I am not a new nurse been working for 5 years. But this is something I can't figue out. In doing a deep trach suction how come we can put in a non sterile inner cannula? Considering we use sterile tech and gloves how is it we can grab this cannula that in some cases have been floating around the pt room? Also same situation in irrigating an s/p/ cath....why do we use sterile supplies but not sterile gloves. Does that sound right you?
