question about LPN role at urgent care

HI all!

I'm starting an urgent care job in a week as a new grad LPN. The site is mainly staffed by MAs that have been specially certified to pass meds in addition to injections etc. I will be the only LPN by staff. They told me at my interview that the basically dont differentiate between LPNs and MAs (which is fine but kind of weird... why pay more to hire an LPN? i couldnt really get a straight answer at the interview, though this is a very reputable company)

ANYWAY my question is this. if/when there is an emergency here what is my role? I am not allowed by law to push meds, and neither are the MAs. I will obviously need to get familiar with their crash cart and review policies but I'm just curious. Obviously there is an MD/PA/NP there at all times so they would be the ones running the "code". It's just a weird position for me... I have been an MA for several years and been involved in only one code- my role was to grab vitals and set up the EKG and wait for the "real" help to jump in. As a new grad I have zero real life experience with placing an IV (we did it once in a sim lab) though it's obviously something i will review and I plan on taking a course to get specially certified.

I'm just nervous not knowing what the providers will be like and how this will play out. I specifically didnt take a job in home care because i wanted to work with other nurses and learn. when i was hired i was told that they were hiring two LPNs- now they updated me when I went in to fill out paperwork that they are leaning toward just me and then another MA.

any advice on urgent care/LPN roles in an emergency?
