PPS charting & nurses delegating tasks to floats/new nurses

Nurses General Nursing

I am new to LTC, and float between two units at my facility. At the one unit I work on, which is a rehab unit, we are required to write PPS notes, for reimbursement purposes. I am curious as to if these are supposed to be written every shift or every 24 hours...only because as a float (and an LPN) I find that the RNs and regular nurses try to take advantage of me so I was told I was to do all the PPS charting....this seems like a lot and if it can be done on 3-11 there's a lot less going on during their shift, and they have 1/4 of the meds to pass. I have never heard of PPS charting before this so I just want to know how often it's really supposed to be done because I am not always able to get it all done, along with all the other extra work I always seem to have :(....I love nursing I just really am starting to dislike LTC & rehab . The nurses can be mean and vindictive for no reason...
