Has anyone tried NuvaRing? I just got mine today (freebie), and I'm kind of unsure. It's so BIG!!! Like bigger than a 50 cent piece! I thought it would be something that fit against your cervix, but the pictures show that you just bend it and shove it up there....to the great unknown! It's huge...wouldn't you or your SO feel it when you...ya know....??????
Just wondering.....

Oh you guys are TOO funny!
I hate the pill- I do remember to take it (OK, that's a team effort- LOL) but am not pleased with the side effects. I get night sweats- thoroughly tested negative for TB, it's being blamed on the pill. I'd LOVE to get rid of them!
I was thinking about the ring but never saw one- I was worried about it falling out unnoticed. If it's that huge maybe I don't have to worry.
On similar lines... has anyone tried the new patch? It's kind of ugly but I'm thinking that a continual release of hormones rather than a Q24 "shock" might reduce the side effects.
Also.. does anyone have any info on dosing of any of these methods for those, ummm, anonymous people (certainly NOT me!) who are ummm, not exactly within the society dictated "normal" weight parameters?
One size fits all for the ring, and the patch gives a steady dose of ???. I would assume if normal pills work for you then the patch would. I don't think I could do it b/c when I quit smoking and used the patch, it burned the living bejesus out of my skin. The patch uses the same materials.

You still can't smoke with the NuvaRing...though I do...
They won't prescribe the ring to those not in a monogamous relationship (at least at the OB/GYN clinic my friend works for) b/c there is an increased risk of PID.
I always forgot to take the pill, so I figured I better try something new!
So far, so good! Can't even tell it's in there!!!! Promised hubby a little nooky so we'll see if he knows it's there....
