New Grad...First interview for golden living center

  1. Hi,

I will have my very first interview next week for golden living center. I really don't know what to expect from the interviewer, I'm not very great with interviews. Anybody out there who works for GLC? What kind of questions should i expect? And how much is the pay rate for LVN's?

I work for a GLC but our facility is being sold to a private party.
I would think the pay rate is determined by the area you live in.
    I make 17.50, and that's with 35 yrs experience.
I make more on my other job which is a state job.
And I don't know what to tell you to expect for questions. I don't remember being asked anything in particular. Just filled out an app and that was it.

GLC in Cali. So, I went to the interview and GLC wasted my time. The DON had a unprofessional manner, waited 30 mins. pass my appointment. After, I told her I'm a new grad she didn't want to interview me! She simply told me she just hire two new grads and couldn't train three new grads at once. I just walked out! I flew out of state for that interview!!!

My first nursing job was at a GLC (Chestnut Hill,MA). My first day, they sent me home after 45 minutes, saying they didn't have the funds for 2 orientees at once. A few days later, I found out the job had been cancelled.
