Job Offer Help

Hello, fellow nurses!

I'm having conflicted thoughts and wanted to seek advice. I had two job interviews last week at the same hospital, but for different areas. One is a tele unit, the other is OR.

I got a call offering me the tele position. HR said that it's ok for me to take time to think it over and to give a call back when I made my decision. Shortly after, I got a call from the OR asking if I would be willing to work certain days and what shift, and I was told they have a few other candidates they will be interviewing other people this week and I'll hear back early next week.

I'd be extremely happy in the OR, but I don't know if the HR would be willing to wait that long for a response. Also, I'm not sure if the call from the OR asking me if I'd be willing to work those specific days/shift was a good thing, or if hearing that they'll be interviewing other people and I'll hear their decision next week is a bad thing. I'm not sure if I made a good enough impression on the OR for them to interview other candidates.

If anyone could offer their thoughts, I'd appreciate it! Thank you!

I would take the tele position just because you will get more experience that way.

Thank you, Organized! :) I'm happy that I was offered the position, I just don't want to make the wrong decision and regret it down the road.
