Corpsman to LPN/LVN in Michigan

Nurses General Nursing

Published

It seems to be a topic that I know a lot of us returning to the Civ. Div. have looked into, but never seem to find the information we are looking for. I just wanted to let others know this transition is possible even if it is not advertised by the state of Michigan:

Our Hospital Corpsman Training is considered a "State Equivalent" to an LPN, and all you need to do is complete the application process for the state, and Pearson VUE (including fee$), like any other Nurse. Were people get lost is with the "School Code" in which case it is not listed on any documents i could find.

Pearson VUE reports the NCLEX Coed for "Special Military Equivalence" for the State of MI is: US 09909400

I hope this helps, and if any one has any further knowledge of how to ease this process along in any other State or Military branch, please share.
