a serious question about this occupation

I have a question about the nursing occupation. Before I inquire, I would like to apologize in advance to anyone that I may offend with this question. I know many people take their jobs seriously and this is not attack any individual's skills, beliefs or values.

My question is this: Does anyone ever feel physically attracted to a patient? I understand that there are several procedures and patient care methods which involve the patient being, for lack of a better term, exposed. Keep in mind; this is only a physical attraction.

As a follow up question, if one is physically attracted to a patient, does this affect any relationship with your spouse, fiancé, or significant other? How do you deal with this issue if it does?

I appreciate all of your input on this issue, no matter how nominal.

Thank you in advance.
