I am very interested in applying to UTA for the RN-BSN online program. I still need college algebra, statistics, and my government classes.
Should I go ahead and apply to the program and take these online through UTA or knock these out at my local college before applying?
The cost is about the same at both but I am worried about the difficulty level, if it will be doable while learning the ropes as a new nurse.
Thanks for any insight!

I've taken classes at UTA (A & P I and II, Molecular Bio, and Microbiology). I've taken the rest of my BS classes at a community college, because for me it was cheaper. (I'm an older student with a previous BS and MBA degrees) and so at UTA I was charged at a higher level. At the community college, the cost is much lower. I found both colleges to be quite similar in their academic requirements. Many of the community college classes I found to be harder than UTA, but on the whole much the same. So, I would go with whoever option is easier for you.
Thank you this helps a lot!

Community college for general courses is what I would recommend, for me it was much cheaper and from what I had heard from some of my fellow peers who had already used this program the difficulty level is higher at UTA. FYI I have been interweaving my general courses along with the nursing courses, as you are not required to have all general completed prior to starting the program. I have tried to do 2 UTA nursing classes each semester since they are only 5 weeks long(most of them) along with a general course to help expedite my degree. I had not done any of my history, govern, maths and even liked a literature, so mine has been a process.. uggghh. good luck to you.
