GCU for BSN (NC student)

Published

I live in NC and want to do an RN to BSN program. My ultimate goal is to become a PMHNP. I'm considering GCU for my BSN (and possibly MSN), then go to ECU for my post-master's certificate.

I am a new graduate and don't understand how all of this works as far as what schools accept when it comes to out-of-state schools. For example, ECU requires more courses for their RN to BSN program than GCU does. I'm afraid if I get my BSN and MSN degree from GCU, I'm going to be told by ECU that I need a few more classes before I can get into their PMHNP program. (I hope this is making sense.)

Also, how difficult and time-consuming is the GCU RN to BSN program? I'm a full time nurse. Thanks in advance!
