GBC Jan2020 (supplies?)

Published

Hello, I am going into the RPN Nursing program at George Brown in Jan2020 and I've heard there are a lot of things you need to start??? Where there any unexpected things that you had to buy?!

The only thing you need to buy is a stethoscope which you will need at the end of the semester in lab for vital signs. Also a pair of scrubs which you can get at the George brown book store in January (it’s closed now) or online. Besides that everything is included in your tuition including online textbooks.

Thank you! I am currently in GBCs prehealth program but I'm a little upset about the online textbooks lol

This might sound like odd advice, but buy yourself a big calander. It was the advice I got from a student during semester one orientation and I found it extremely helpful through the rpn program and the bscn. Put every assignment and reading per week on the calendar and hang it in a place you have to look at. Once you write it all on there you might find the number of readings and assignments overwhelming but at at least you'll have a good idea about the amount of work you have before you. Good luck. It's a tough program, but if you take it seriously and work hard you'll make it through.

How hard is it to get into bridging for RN at GBC?
