I am waiting to hear whether i get accepted into nursing program in St. Louis area for next Fall 2010 semester. Meanwhile i have finished up all my pre-nursing courses and have done quite well. I am looking for a job in healthcare/hospital or physician office (( I am registerd as Medical Assistant). Despite there being many jobs in the healthcare field, I am never called for an interview due to job hopping (depression) which is much better now. I don't know if i should totally forget healthcare or not. I know employers can afford to be quite picky now when looking for candidates. Any opinions?

Have you talked to any of your teachers about them making a recommendation for you? My experience has been that employers usually interview someone only when they come recommended by someone they know. GOOD LUCK!
I have excellent recommendations but most of jobs in healthcare when apply online don't ask you for references. Just your resume and that is not good for me.
