Nurses Humor

Published

As an evening staff nurse in a long term care facility, one of our jobs is to check in meds that we receive from the pharmacy. While checking them in one eve., I noticed a long plastic package containing birth control pills with an unrecognizable name on the label. Figuring they were dropped into our bag by mistake, I left them for the day shift nurse to return. She called the pharmacy the next day and the pharmacist said, "Oh yes, that was supposed to go to another local nursing home; we deliver lots of oral contraceptives and Viagra there." Really, do you guys/gals think he was serious? Either way, we had a great laugh out of that one.

I imagine the BC pills were a joke but I'll bet the Viagra was not. Some of our over 80 patients are literllay begging for the "happy pills". Maybe they are stilll having a fun time even in the LTC facility. LOL PS: Does Medicare pay for that?

Speaking of Viagra and Getting the bang for your buck.

I work Internal Med and we recently had a patient who told me he stopoed his Zocor due to the expense but he would like a prescription for Viagra. Now what does that tellyou! Maybe to him... Sex is more important hen life itself. I discussed the high price of Viagra and he did not care.. he told me it was worth every dollar!

You have to Love them!!

I work in Psychiatris LTC and we have a lot of birthcontrol, but no Viagra.... our resident seem to manage quite well without any addition help!
