FSW (Edison) Spring 2015 Program

Hey guys! I was just wondering if anyone else on here was applying to the Spring 2015 term for the AS Nursing program at Florida SouthWestern State College? I wanted to see what everyone's points were on the application so I can kind of gauge how my application points stand up and if I need to take the Hesi to get a higher score. Thanks!

--Oh, I'm also applying to Lee first, then Charlotte, then Collier. :)

Spring is not nearly as competitive as Fall is. You should be fine with an 85 or higher.

Thank you! I anticipate to have between 84 to 91 points for my application if I can get 3 points higher on my next HESI testing.

I applied got the Spring. Just got an email that I am a candidate at Lee and I need to do doing drug testing and the background check before acceptance. I had 88 points and a 92 on the HESI. I'm super excited!!!

We're going to be classmates!! :D Congrats! I got both of the drug tests done yesterday so I could go ahead and get them over with. I think they are going to send out acceptance packets the first week of November! :)

Hey everyone! I'm applying from pittsburgh where I got accepted into one of their best schools but I want to move to florida. Just want to make sure I'm making the right decision. If any current or graduate students could give me their opinion on the program i'd greatly appreciate it!

I am now in my first semester at FSW (Edison). I really, really love the program. It has excellent professors and the program is just really great. In my opinion it is the best in the area. I did A LOT of research on the other school in the area and I am totally convinced it is the best. There are other schools here that take less time overall to get the BSN, but I just don't think they are as good and I've talked to people in them, and they are not happy. I also talked to many people at the hospitals where we do clinicals and they all say that they prefer to hire from FSW before any other school. I love Florida and Ft. Myers is a great area. All of the hospitals in this county are part of the same system, so when you do clinicals (which starts in your first semester if you go to FSW) you get to rotate through them and make possible future job connections.

Hey congrats to you guys. What advice would you have for the HESI entrance exam and also how do you calculate your points I am not quite sure how to get the accurate points for the points sheet.

Are you applying this semester? If so join us in pre-nursing section.

Answering your question though. You download Excel worksheet anf just put your info in it.
