Hello every one I had a few questions that my advisors weren't helping me with or I didn't want to sound dumb so I didn't ask lol by the way I'm trying to get my associates
But I was wondering could I get into the nursing program with a good score on my nat and all As but still be enrolled in a+p 2 and micro? If that makes since like I'll still be taking the class while I am applying?
How does the nursing classes work I see alot of people on here hoping they get into night and weekends, I want to get Into day classes, is classes everyday at like a certain time?
Sorry this is my first year of school so I'm a little confused
how long is the associates in nursing program online it says 16 months does that include pre reqs what's does terms mean is it the same as semester s or once you get into the program y o u just go straight through for example if i were to get into the summer term when would I graduate?
Thank you so much to anyone who answers my questions I really really appreciate it!!!

This is going to be a long post but it does have quite a bit of information on it. This came directly from Cheryl James. Some additional information as well regarding the applying while being enrolled in A&P 2 & Micro...I will be enrolled in both in the Spring and I can apply to the program while taking those classes. Take note that the new test is the HESI A2. They no longer do the NAT test. For the timeframe of 16 months that is not counting the pre-reqs.
I have a copy of the nursing packet that has all of the information in it if you would like it. I can email it to you. Just send me your email address.
Email from Cheryl:

In order to be eligible to apply to the nursing program you must be enrolled in FSCJ as a student and be admitted to the college as a student. If you have not taken your general education courses you must begin in the Admission Office, meet with an Student Success Advisor (904-766-6700) to begin taking the general education courses required before you can apply to the nursing program. Once accepted into the program, it will take sixteen months to complete.
In order to be eligible to apply to the nursing program you will need to summit the following to the nursing department in a complete packet attached together:
1. Nursing Application
2. Students must pull a student copy of the FSCJ transcript from Connections showing that they have completed BSC 2085C, BSC 2086C, and MAC 1105, CHM 1020, and MCB 2010C must be completed with a grade of "C" or better before applying. Students can be enrolled in the Microbiology only the semester before the nursing program begins. It must be completed before applying to be in the point system.
The nursing department does not evaluate general education courses. (If coming from another school(s) all Transcripts must be evaluated by FSCJ Records Office before applying)
3. A copy of the HESI A2 score must be attached to the nursing application (904) 766-6708 testing center. (The HESI A2 score is good for two years). The areas that will be used from the HESI is Math, Reading Comprehension, Anatomy & Physiology, and Biology. The cost of the test is $95.00 ($35 HESI A2/$60.00 sitting fee to FSCJ).
4. CPR American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider), that includes hands-on simulated experiences. A copy must be attached front and back
5. All students must have a 2.0 or higher GPA just to apply.
Acceptance into the program is based on the point system in the nursing packet that was emailed to you. The higher your points are, the better your chances.
Class and Clinical Schedules:
1. Class and clinical schedules will vary and students SHOULD NOT make work or other commitments until the semester begins and schedules have been finalized.
2. Class Instructors and clinical facilities are subject to change. Listing an instructor's name or a clinical facility in no way obligates the college to provide said instructor or facility.
3. Typically, Daytime classes are offered during the daytime (8 am-6 pm). However, it may be necessary to schedule classes during the evening, e.g. 6 pm - 9 pm.
4. Typically, Evening/Weekend classes are scheduled from 6 pm - 10 pm weeknights and clinicals from 7 am - 7 pm on weekends. But, it may be necessary to attend some scheduled activities such as course testing/special events and/or clinical site orientation during the day.
5. Orientation to clinical agencies is an agency requirement and may be scheduled daytime, nights, or weekends.
6. Clinical experience requires students to be prepared which necessitates going to the hospital on the day before clinicals to obtain the assignments (Applies to both Day and Evening/Weekend students). Clinical hours may vary due to holidays and students are expected to adjust their personal schedules accordingly.
7. Sections with a small number of registered students are subject to cancellation. Students so impacted will be reassigned to another section with the goal of achieving successful program objectives and meaningful student learning.
8. All students’ testing is scheduled during out of class time on Mondays. ALL TESTING IS ON MONDAY FOR DAY AND WEEKEND/EVENING STUDENTS. Students must be an FSCJ student to apply.

HESI A2 test call (904) 766-6708 to sign up.
It can be taken twice a year. (take it once and you must wait 90 days to take the test a second time)
Reference letters are not part of the nursing program requirements.
Thank you soooo much for replying when I called Cheryl james she said that you have to finish both to apply because I was hoping to apply to summer and I'll be taking those 2 spring do you think I'll be able to apply to summer did she tell you you could apply while being enrolled?
My understanding is that you can apply while being enrolled in them but things may have changed. Its Been a couple months since I have looked into it. Have you taken the HESI yet? You definitely need to take that before applying because your score will determine what place you are in. The highest points total gets in first.
