Does anyone have any experience working for this hospital? Especially how they treat their nurses, and is their pay competitive?

I worked for Friends back in 1997-1998 as a secretary for one of the psychiatrists. I don't know about how they treat their nurses. My pay was decent and I loved the nice grounds there, they have a beautiful garden and landscaping. I remember the cafeteria was excellent with a good discount for employees.
I also lived close by so the commute was great.
Thanks for the reply, Im planning to move to Philadelphia in January and I'm looking for prospective employment opportunities as a Pysch nurse.

I have friends who work at friends (no pun intended) and they seem to like what they do. There is also North Philadelphia Health Systems, they have a lot of psych jobs. Penn health system has psych at Presbyterian and Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as well as a number of smaller CRCs and methadone/DA clinics around the city. What type of psych are you interested in?
Currently I am working dual diagnosis and I would love to continue to work with this population.
it might be worth your while to look at Girard medical center (part of north philadelphia health system) as they have a couple DD units, including longer term residential units. But no shortage of jobs in that field in Philly, thats for sure.
Thanks I really appreciate your recommendations. I will look into Girard!
