Looking for feedback on Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (formerly know as Lady of the Lake College) RN to BSN program. I am planning to enroll and start the program next month, but having difficulty finding reviews or students' personal experiences with this school. Just want to make sure it's a good school prior to investing my time/money. I decided on this school because they are accepting all of my credits (including statistics) from my ADN and BA in psychology and have 8 week classes, plus fairly reasonable cost and my employer (VA) will reimburse since they are non-profit. So I have to take 30 credits (minimum required)= 24 nursing credits and 2 free electives. Edited Sep 18, 2018 by linrs forgot to add content
Sep 19, 2018 by Salmo23,RN Hello, when do you plan on starting this program ? I've been in touch with an enrollment counselor. Just wish I could find reviews on this program ??
Sep 20, 2018 by hgwalter91 I attended this university about 2 years ago for my RN to BSN, I personally enjoyed the university. All the classes were manageable and all the staff including the chair of the program would help me whenever needed even as an online student. I was just accepted into a Family Nurse Practitioner program at a different university, but I had no issues with transferring my credits since it is an accredited university. In conclusion I would recommend this program, good luck!
Oct 4, 2018 by linrs Thanks so much for your positive feedback! About how long did it take to complete? I'm hoping to finish in about a year or so. What did the classes consist of? papers, presentations, any group work, exams? Also any classes you would not recommend taking with another class? I work and have a family so trying to be realistic what I can handle. Still feel like I'm not getting enough info about their program and want to make sure it's a good fit for me!
