Hi, I've been trying to come up with a solution to a problem that everyone at our hospital seems to be continuing to complain about, but don't seem to be offering any solutions to the problem. We have a 12 hour sheet that is required for us to fill out on each patient we have, on the sheet are things that we should already be including in our charting/assessments. No one, including our manager likes this form. I've suggested maybe appointing the charge nurse to check these points in the computer for 1 or 2 random people each shift in order to get rid of the form. My fear is that this form is never going to go away. It is tedious, and almost as if the people who do thier job as their supposed to are getting punished with tedious paperwork. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can make this form go away? Does anyone have any experiences they'd like to share regarding facing management with things like this?
Thanks
