Hello everyone! I just graduated from San Diego City College with an associates in Biology: Allied Health. Im going to take a couple more classes this Fall at City such as a higher english course, Library Science and a humanities class. My goal was to apply as a Allied Health major at National Jan 2011, take some classes then apply for the nursing program. I attended the Nursing forum there late last year but they didn't really reveal much. I was thinking about repeating one of my pre reqs in the fall, most likely anatomy since I thought it was easier to obtain an A. I received a C in physiology, a B in anatomy and a C in Micro I was actually on 30 points from a B! I was really close. I took it in the summer and it was tough. Needless to say I have a 2.33 in the pre reqs but my overall GPA is 2.8. Basically, Im a pretty average student. My question is... what were your science pre req grades and overall GPA? Do you think I have any chance? Or would you reccomend that I repeat 1 or more of my science pre reqs? I really have my mind set on National and from what they said at the forum theres only about 200 applicants per year which isn't much as other schools which might mean that it's less competitive. I just dont want to give up on my goal/dream. I feel so discouraged!
