Ok I have a quick question, If a FNP that works in a office setting needs to admit a PT to a hospital is it ok for that FNP to round on the PT when they are in the hospital or will a ACNP have to do it. Also can FNP work in cardiology?
Thanks

Are hospitalists available at the hospital you would be admitting to? If so, is it that you just prefer to see the patient yourself throughout their admisison? There are some arguments that I have heard that are against this practice.
I think you would have to get hospital privileges by the hospital's credentialing/privileging committee, right?

I admit my own pts. all the time and follow them in the hospital.
