I just started with freebies 3 months ago. I need to move home due to father in laws health. I've had an interview and am awaiting second one. The manager told me to get the transfer form signed and is we that it says you have to be with the company for 6 months before transfer. Is there any way around this?

Good luck. When I worked for FMC they were real sticklers about this, even though I was staying in the same location, just switching from acutes to chronics.

I'm not sure how much power your regional manager has as far as bending this rule, but you might try explaining the situation to him/her and see what happens. The worst they can tell you is no, six months is the rule, no exceptions.

Good luck! I hate rules like this when there are extenuating circumstances.

Thank you. I was hoping to talk to the regional manager but she hasn't been to helpful as of yet. I will try to get her attention again and see how it goes.

It depends on the region, my current one is horrible. But, I've worked in regions full of good people.Talk to HR also. Remember your value as an RN. A transfer is cheaper than losing an employee within the first year of employment. And a transfer looks better on the books than a resignation. Get something in writing from the doc so that they can see your truthfulness. It also lets them know that your move is not negotiable.good luck
