Broward College LPN to RN transition

U.S.A. Florida

Hello all,

I just joined this website today. Everyone has soooo much great information.

I am currently enrolled in the LPN Part-time program at McFatter. Our graduation date is 10/10. I am currently taking Anatomy 1 at Broward College. (currently hold an "A" ). I have to take Anatomy 2 in the the spring of 2010 then I will apply for the LPN RN transition in 05/11. I would like to know if any knows how long the program is. I have heard 12 months, 15 months, 18 months....? I was unsuccessful in finding the info on the BC website. I would like to know what month I would graduate as a RN?

Specializes in ED.

Its 5 semesters long. The difference is that I believe the first semester is short (1 course) and then you track in with the generic program students the second sesmester. Also, you have to complete less clinical hours. Other than that, the program is the same length.

Thanks :-)
