Florida Hospital, Orlanda - Benefits/PTO

I just got an offer from Florida Hospital. Could someone tell me a little bit about the benefits they offer?PTO, tuition reimbursement, cost of healthcare...Thanks!

If you are a new grad - they require you to sign a 2 year contract or reimburse them for your training.

Is there a specific cluster of Florida Hospital you received the offer from? Each is slightly different. I worked for a billing department in one of the AHS facilities. They typically ran $150/month for individual medical and $300/month for with a dependent. Roughly, with healthy individuals and no preexisting. The ED copay was $100, and could be payroll deducted. Lab draws we're $15. Inpatient copay was $500. This was for the basic plan with low high deductible, which is what most took.

PTO was like an accrual of 1 day every 2 weeks or 80 hours.

That's all I remember from my cluster, this was not central Florida though, different part of the state.

There was tuition reimbursement in my cluster, but you had to sign a 1 year contract for each $5000 of reimbursement. From what I have heard, Florida Hosputals in central Florida, where I am hoping to apply when I graduate school, is offering little in the way of reimbursement except for long-term employees with 3+ years of service to the facility, if at all. Most new grads have a BSN in the central Florida area, and having a MSN or post graduate degree isn't in favor of the hospital, but it's not impossible. Just not highly probable they will do reimbursement right away.

Every case is different though, and this has only been my experience within the last 5 years. Perhaps things have changed or things will be in your favor.
