Fl non LPN Excelsior students PLEASE READ

If you are a non LPN nursing student in the Excelsior program please read the thread and contact Rick Garcia , Executive Director of Fl BON, 850-245-4158 or email at [email protected]. They will no longer accept endorsement, this is unfair to those students who were already enrolled based on previous information given by FL BON to students and Excelsior. To change the rules after a commitment has been made is unreasonable.

I encourage non-LPN students to take the time to contact Fl. BON and Fl. state representatives. Go to www.myflorida.com and you will have direct access to their emails and phone numbers. So far I have contacted Rick Garcia, Gov. Charlie Christ and a few others. It is unreasonable to imply this new decision to students who enrolled when the practice of Fl. BON was licensure by endorsement.:angryfire

I spoke with Rick Garcia and he said he could do nothing about the misinterrupted information that was given by BON in the past and he did not know how the previous Director of Fl BON allowed licensure of endorsement. But keep up the phone calls, so far 35 students have called Rick . I feel they are using misinterrupted info ( given by BON ) as an excuse to justify making their new decision retroactive, this is fundamentally unfair.
